Should body lift kits be welded to the pan?

I bought my body lift kit 2nd hand, and it was just bolted on.

But i see some going around with teh kits completely welded to the chassis.

any particular benefits either way? any need?
Would the blue plate compliance officer have a spew if i welded it?

I"m really too lazy and don't want to.... but if i should, i wouldn't question it.

It doesn't matter. Mine is not welded, uses a stock body to floor pan kit above and below the lift kit.

i assume the kit being the rubber seal do daddle?

Thanks Wes. that cures my doubts... cause if i end up ruining the chassis some how i wouldn't wanna have to dispose of a welded on lift kit too... They aren't cheap :tu:
