hey katrina... welcome to avd.
i think you will need to offer some more detail... like where you live, what sort of dub, how much you can spend. if you post up a few details about
yourself, you will soon find people nearby that can assist you.
as said above their are many ways to find a dub, but be warned... not all are good on face value. you can get rust, mechanical problems and allsorts
of little nasties. take your time and look and learn... soon enough you will find what you are looking for.

Hi Katrina,
Just a bit of advice.
Check out ads online on sites already listed in this thread to see what's out there.
Read about VWs online to get an idea about what you want to buy. There's an abundance of resources out there.
Make sure that when it comes to purchasing cars you eyeball them in person with someone who knows about VWs.

katrina i used to work in the vw game and generally i would say shiny is shit being ur gonna b on ur p's shiny paint is a liability and you don't know whats underneath.my sugestion would be a nice orignal
paint not to far from stock bug and get it checked out but an expert attend some shows ask questions and don't be in a hurry to buy one and don't
spend all ur money ur gonna need some for unexpected expenses!And adds that mentions every new and reco'd part fitted usually means that they have
bought a shitter spent heaps at a vw specalist trying to get it right and now have given up and are trying to recoup as much as possible.Be careful

maby if there is a forum member near you they could run you over their car to show you what to look for ie rust etc
we are going to be in the hunter next wed- thurs next week would be happy to show you our bug answer any questions, i am no expert though! and would
be happy to look at any up round near tamworth if you need.

Just wanted to say welcome and you have chose the best place to get advice . I bought a superbug for 600 bucks with damage (mainly front end). I am no
mechanic but every question I asked I practically got an instant response and now have it finished! Re Kuckster , he tends to get on site once a week
but if have probs getting him let me know as can call him 4 u.
Good luck with beetle hunt and for some reason superbugs are usually the cheapest as not liked. Thats what I have and love it, so dont let that put u
off. And yes agree re shiny, not important. But do try to hassle some local veedubbers if you find something.
