thats mike walrons old car, tail lights were immediately removed after the taking of that picture :lol:. but if you do choose to get them, they are available from most larger vw parts suppliers like cbb, vintage (as per rear window sticker) and classic veedub.... cheers adam:

I got mine from classic veedub, they are really good especially at night, just make sure you have organe indicator globes and red brakelights , I run led brake/taillights

You might get off as the car in question is pre ADR. I may be wrong....

You can use them as long as you have 2 or more reflective units on the rear.. eg reflective discs.. I carry reflective tape in the glove box just in case..

Rule 106
106.02
reason for rejection
reflectors are damaged, or are not fitted to rear of the vehicle.
so if your tail lights are the reflectors and you change them to all clear they could only comply if they meet the ADRs.:crazy:

Honestly who really cares about ADR's .Build it how you want it I say.
If you get a defect fix it get the defect lifted then put it back the way it was and keep driving your machine the way you like it.

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but most new cars these days are coming out with them anyway. Since when does Clear Tail lights mean Ricer, sometimes the clear and the smoked look better against certain colours. Our Grey Lowlight had smoked tail lights and it look 100% better than standards.

I run full red lenses on the ghia with LED globes & the amber shows through without any probs,
Yeah i know its not legal, but i like the look a whole lot more & the amount of time i actually get to drive the thing, i'm willing to cop a defect cause even that wont wipe the smile off my face !!!!

Also running black tinted perspex lenses with the same globes on the Razor !!

Pretty sure you can also buy clear LED globes that illuminate to red or amber from the states
Noddy.

Step up to get out !!!
