Should have also said that french ones I have found are far older than this one (Victorian). This is federation I think and the paintings on mine are
done by G.Arnold. As i said any help would be great or even a gentle prod in right direction.

And tell me its utter crap or a poor copy and worth about 5 bucks lol. Just surprised that this guy Arnald has actually made a few but nothing about
him or screen can be found. Guess it means he is no Picasso? :=)
On a dif note This is second time I have asked something totally unrelated to VW. The first was regarding a Triumph emblem. I tried 3 Triumph sites
and nothing but got it here. And with this it has pretty well been the same. Says a lot about this site and its information.

Is the artwork in this style:
http://www.joseflebovicgallery.com/Catalogue/Archive/Cat-114-2005/Large/0002.jpg
If so, that's Margery G. Arnold.
If not, it may be Marjorie Arnold:

Both worked in Aus in the early 20th. Try a Sydney gallery that deals in Australian artists.
A POSSE AD ESSE.
I live in my own little world, but it's okay, they know me here.

No expert on paintings but that Margery G painting dont look same style at all and nether does signature. And I cant see a person signing painting G
arnold when name is Margery with no G so doubt if other artist shown is right either.
