Hi all,
Can someone please shed some light on another forum meaning for me?
What do people mean when they say "Slam it"
Thanks in advance

So now i'm confused (again),
Seriously Crusin Dubber
I thought that that meant you had been around for a fair while but as you didn't know what "slamed" meant I guess I'm wrong, I shy off asking some
questions in here as I feel a bit dumb not already knowing the answer, so now I rekon we should have some sort of dictionary in here so blokes like me
can look up the meaning of some of these terms, reckon I could start it off with the definition of "fat boy" when relating to mufflers.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

You could always put adjustable air suspension in. That way you could have it slammed and raise it when you needed to get over speed humps.

Another term for you. With air suspension, the cars are "bagged". Others out there could probably let you know what the better kits are, and their
cost.
PS: Yes those pimped cars are "bagged"

The bouncing cars are usually on hydraulics. To be able to get the response to bounce a car like that, you could not get air in and out of a valve
quick enough to create the force to bounce that weight.
The dictionary is here on AVD, it is the 'SEARCH' function. If it doesn't show with a search, it is obscure, and a Google search may help.

If there is a fat boy muffler, does that mean that there is a thin boy muffler????

Holy CRAP! that's awesome! Reminds me of a Brisbane city bus pulling in and letting people off lol. Id love to have that on a slammed car.
Searching for meanings to these words on AVD and on google hardly ever works. Ive done it quite a few times and in the end just ask you guys. I
recently read this thread with much interest on a Ghia for sale and still wonder what the hell the sellers trying to say in a lot of it?
- and the beam looks a bit narrowed to me?
- and can be swapped back to K&L with some welding.
- Also has a s/bug 'bog fitted?
- It's got some sealed beams on it at the moment? (im thinking this refers to headlights)
and that's just the tip of the ice berg. Im a pretty forward person and end up asking what i cant figure out as most of you probably realize by now
lol. A lot of members aren't that way inclined and probably go on just wondering what half the shit said on here means? I think a dictionary is a
pretty good idea. Even just an ongoing thread would be great! Call it the "WHAT THA?? thread or something....
Would have saved me tonnes of time and i would have felt a part of things a whole lot faster. That's my 2 cents anyway

that's a "Jam Job"
sort of like it was painted in the fashion of spreading jam on a piece of toast.
Maybe a glossary of terms is a good idea.
Most people seem normal, till you get to know them.

Slam it can be a phrase used in spray painting also. If a door is to be closed quickly and abruptly with the final result achieved, you slam it. Same
with a paint job. There is no class or finesse about it.
