Adapterplate and flywheel

Hi.
I'm not from Aus. I'm actually from sweden.
So please dont kick me out for that, this is a really awsome forum.

So here's the interesting part.
I'm go an Industry education(gymnasium)(like high school I think)
And for my third year I've got to have a project.
Since I've allways liked Vw's I decided to go putting an Subaru EJ engine into it, and after alot of gnabbing on my teachers, we finally come to an agreement, I was allowed to do it IF I were to build the adapterplate and flywheel myself.
Not said I have to do the blueprints but I had to fab myself.

So do anyone have any blueprints they could share?
If you sell them and think, Darn I won't give my blueprints to him,
then he'll just start produceing them and sell them too and then my bussiness will be over for ever.

Naah I wont that's a promise :)
I'll only fab one set for my car and that's it.
I've asked alot of companies but they are all very negative, they dont want to help me :/
But perhaps any of you will?

And even if you dont have any blueprints then you perhaps have any ideas and tips you'd like to share with me?

Best regards
/L

I built my own adaptor plate and flywheel, but for a V6 instead of the subaru.

Info here;

The blueprints and stuff are here;

And please I need some help with your blueprint!
Are you sure about the messures? I mean the subaru boltpattern seems kinda strange to me

Ok, It was the bolt on the upper side without the startengine that according to our messures was 2mm wrong,
We messured the engine bolt pattern just to be sure, and that bolt was 2mm to far out, so I've changed that but all the rest seems fine.
I've got a 90's Ej22M and on the pic's on your engine I see some slight differences, so perhaps they moved the bolt? or maybe some this is fcked up :P anyways 1 bolt hole can allways be re-drilled since all the others were ok!
Btw I see you have turned the intake around, is it just to remove it and turn it a 180 degrees (except the injection thingie cables and the ignition)
Btw what clutch do you use?
Is that the subaru clutch? or the vw Clutch?

And the flywheel how did you do that??
I'm thinking about useing the original Vw flywheel but makeing sort of a distance/adapter between them

yes i turned the intake manifold around becos in the van the throttlebody would interfere and also the water manifold needs to face forward anyway.

i used the VW 228mm clutch to suit the gearbox. my flywheel is locally produced. there will be plenty of suppliers for flywheels in europe or you could use the subaru flywheel and clutch and an adapter bellhousing...these are available in the UK i believe

good luck:tu:

Ok, I'll stick with my Vw flywheel and clutch for now, and build an distance between the flywheel and the subaru :)

I'll post my blueprints when I've got them all done

Do you have a blueprint of the flywheel or something, bcuz I'm not going to buy neither the a-plate nor the flywheel I have to fab both of them and just modifying and makeing two distances etc etc. will make it way to weak, so there for I'm looking at perhaps getting a type4 wheel and clutch, but before that I need to know how they look, or perhaps copy yours.
