Been Busy!
Hi all
Ive not been very active on the AVD front but I regularly lurk around here to see whats been going on.
As many of you know, Im a keen Formula Vee racer and i did thread sometime ago outlining the chages and mods I did to my kestrel F-V.
I have been very quiet on the race scene this year, just having abreak away from it all for a while.
What has been keeping me busy is this:
Ok, laugh away, its a '93 Nissan Navara flat tray V6. Its my tow car for the race car.
Nothing really special except I made some slight changes, like this:
Its a Nissan VG30det. An import out of a Y32 Nissan Cima.
Ive fitted a 600Hp water to air intercooler setup along with Large-arsed T66 Turbo.
The whole show is run by an Adaptronic 420c programmeable EFI ecu.
I have a TechEdge 2CO WBo2 sensor/controller interfaced to the Adaptronic for full time adaptive tuning. (self tuning)
Looking for around 400Hp atw.
Its been a long process at around 9 months, as with my work, I have been working between 12 and 14 hours a day so leaves precious little time to do it
with normal everyday stuff pushed back to weekends.
I have it running pretty well now. *It* (the ute) pulls like a busload of schoolboys!
Deceptively smooth and when the turbo spools up it just rushes forward effortlessly!
It spins up tyes pretty easily as well. very lively in the wet.
Neway, if your interested further in the build, I did a writeup on it here:
MotorSwaps Forum
Enjoy!
Cheers
Evan

Nice Navara mate. Been outta Vws too a bit lately, working on my baja tow bus, shes a 99 Falcon Ute, bought her off the ford dealer
in january for the sum of $1100. Owes me close to 3k now, but still a cheap ute and its a manual
Had the mags and all the gear in her when i got it, including a pumping sound system

All you need M8, with that big bash bar is some impossibly tall, WHITE CB antennas, a roof bar with about 6 Cibie Super Oscars , some "CAT" truck
mudflaps across the back and you have a genuine "Rural Ute"!! lmao!

Thanks Daimo
Oh shit yer M8, Rural Utes are pretty big down here allright!
I have been lurking a bit tho. keeping up on what you rev-heads have been upto!!
Yer its (ute) been a bit of a production!!
Its getting smoother and smoother everytime I drive it now. I have the Adaptronic running in full time adaptive (closed loop) mode and it just
purrs!
I lean'd on it today and the T61 spooled up in 2nd and the thing just spun to the limiter and left this long black line and a trail of smoke....damn
it was funny. Didnt even try to bag it up, it just did it by itself on a roll-on!
I cant wait to get some decent injectors in there and wind it up for shits and giggles!!!!
I think I need to fit a double spinner tho! Very soon!
