VIC: WTD: Swingaxle Type 1 (post '66) long casting

Name: Al
Location: The Basin

I need a Type 1 Swingaxle that needs to be made after '66.
It should measure from drum backing plate to torsion plate cast like this:

Not like this:

Only after something close to my location thanks.

Type 3 swingaxle, would be prefered cause of the larger rear drums.

pre '66, has to be drum to drum working condition.

This is a very good post to compare the long and short axle tube differences.

Hi

In Australia all 6 volt Beetles had the short axles, we got the long axles later than the rest of the when the 1500 Beetle arrived in 1968.

BTW, it only the casting that is longer, the tubes are all the same length.

Steve
