What suspension upgrade
I was wondering wahat the best value for money suspension would be best for my 72 Superbug. Macphersn fullt adj. front, billistien, koni? I am new to
the bug scene, any help appreciated.
by the way i plan on disk front and rear and 17" wheels thanks to John Sherman. I also have his wide body kit.

Best advice is to get wheels first AND decide what body shape
You need to play with this offset calculatur to see where your wheels will sit.
Generally
- you wont get 6" wheels under stock guards at the front
- you need different offset front and back
- you need thin spring struts if you want wider than 6" under stock guards
Billstien are the best but $$$$
If you are going wide guards you wont need thin springs
Personally - you are better saving on the wide guards and going thin spring and fitting under stock guards
Nothing looks worse than wide guards and wheels not filling the guards.
Spacers are illegal in just about every state??
Porsche 944 rear end fits but lots of work and that will widen the track

The car was already fitted with the wide body. The Sherman brake upgrade has ford studpattern, front and rear disks. I will run the showwheels
Streeters 17x7. I currently run 14" hotwire mags so filling the guards is not an issue. Was more asking peoples preferences front and rear between
Macpherson, koni and bilistien and why. Thanks for the tips Bizarre. Nice pic btw

the Bilstien can be "dialled in"
if you are full on into racin this can be real good
I think mine are Sachs and are fine

First thing champ is get yourself a 4 wheel alignment.
For a road car try 2 degrees neg up front and around 2mm toe out total for some bit in turn in.
approx 1-1.5 neg rear 0-.5 toe in.
around 3 degrees positive caster, try these settings then adjust to suit youir driving style.
Whiteline adjustable sway bars are also a good performance upgrade.
