Question for Brisbane dubbers
I rang Phoenix Engineering the other day and they had an old answering machine message answer the phone. I drove past the Buranda workshop and the
door was closed.
Does anyone know if they are just taking time off or have they closed or moved somewhere else?

Erwin Kearn sold the business about 12-18 months ago, but another guy bought it and it was continuing on as a VW business. Erwin actually worked on a
little part-time after the sale. I had my (now old) type 3 serviced there about 6 months ago. Haven't been back since, so can't comment
recently.

I know Erwin sold up and worked on as an employee for a while. I tried ringing him at home to see if he knew anything but there is no answer. Leons
is definitely a separate company. Phoenix was always handy for me as I work at Woolloongabba.
Has anyone heard anything concrete about them?

Good news. I rang them again this morning and Andy said they just had last week off. Something went wrong with the answering message so they are
still there and open for business.
