hi, i after a budget priced winch to both, drag a bug onto a truck up ramps and to let it down slowly, twice as steep as the average car trailer, so if u know what type of budget priced/size winch can do the job, please tell me. thanks greg

Be careful buying 'budget priced' stuff like that - winches, chain saws, ride-on mowers, etc! I've found that quite often buying the cheaper one means that you eventually end up buying a good one in the end, and end up with two!!!!!!

Cheers, Greg

I purchased a $99 electric winch with a 1 tonne capacity from Repco approx 2 years ago when i got sick of busting my guts pushing cars to the workshop,it has worked great and the best thing is i can lock the switch on and steer the car to where i need it.Best 99 bucks I ever spent .There are also some dodgy cheap winches around which will burn you so look carefully before you buy as warranty is often only worth 2 knobs of goat s--t.
