Yes there are a few signs.

Mine is a 73. First year of the indicators on the grill.

Engine just about finished. Still need to do the timing and make up some decent fuel lines.
Also a detail is on the books.

my dad's 72 lowlight


like i said before,here is my dad's 72 lowlight that he recently bought.Needs work and at the moment is stripped ready for (HOPEFULLY) a respray and panel beat.

(other than the front) looks fairly straight!

The 1600 looks exactly like mine did. All dirty except for the carby haha :)

I wish I could get my dad into kombis haha

.So you think its a 1600 ha? yeah the engine number has changed so we cant really tell.I know from my small experience its too small for a 2.0 and 1700 and too big for a 1500 so i reckon its 1600.lol.
He wants to get it fully rebuilt.

Well its definitely not an 1800 1700 or 2000. They are a completely different shape.

What does it say on the back of the carby? A 1600 uses a 34 Pict 3 Carb. Although it could've been changed over the years. Its still a good indication.
