speedo fuel guage wiring??

ok so on the later speedo, am i correct in assuming that the terminal circled is for the earth and the other terminal behind the metal box thingy to the left of the circle is the terminal for the sender?

hey nick, other way around

circled one goes to the tank sender and the one on the stabilisor box goes to 12volt igniton, which also piggy backs off the very bottom terminal there for the warning lights

oh yeah one othing thing
the ignition wire into the stabilisor make sure its insulated in some way like heat shrink over it or wrapped with electrical tape,

ive been caught before with those flat screen speedos, the terminal sits right next to the screw that holds in the fuel gauge and through vibration it can touch the screw and short out, blowing thr fuse

was a very frustrating short to find to, all my 73 on bugs have had plastic covers over the terminals
