Well, set off on the route of the End to End on the Isle of Man.This is part of a race that takes place each September. I set off today to complete this run, but due to a brief emergency at home, I had to abort the mission, so only got half way - to St Johns, when I had to turn round and cycle back home. The start of the off road section of this Mountain bike route is in Ballaugh.I live near Laxey, which is on the other side of the island, so I set off nice and early to cycle to the start, which was 15 miles or so from where I live. The Mountain road will be un accessible shortly as the Manx Grand Prix starts with its practice sessions this evening.
