FIXED.. Replacement Headlights!

Okay i've been an idiot, i've smashed the glass on one of my headlights, and the parking bulb connectors are all corroded. So I went and got a new pair of the golf headlights that I was told would fit. Now I have a huge gap at the bottom of the light were ol'rain will have a field day.

Any advice on what to do? Im really desperate. :fakesniff:

What car do You have???
late beetle 1968> 76
early beetle ??
type 3 ??
Golf ??
Karmann Ghia ??

the late model beetles did have Bosch 7 inch semi sealed beams fitted.. the chromed ring was plastic..

LEE

PS: beetles always had a drain tube to let any water that gathers in the headlamp bowl to drain out..
when the drain tube fell out there is a large hole.. LEE

A photo takes the place of a thousand words...

[an old saying]

You did fit 7 inch headlamps??
and NOT 5 3/4 inch..

there are too many questions unanswered...

what the headlamps are screwed to..??

chromed rim should be a neat fit??

LEE

Hello right here goes,

I have a 1971 Super Bug, the headlights screw into the 3 points in the body (had to bend to little bits of metal with the screw holes forward. I've popped a few images up here!! The left headlights is original and the right is the new style ones.

Thanks very much for all your help!
