Wanted-Early Type 3 Body.

Does anyone have an early Notch rolling chassis or a body in good rust free nick kicking around? If there is a partly resto'd one, that would be good to.
Open to ideas.

Cheers,
Steve

Send type3kid a message. He may still have his early fasty for sale. Used to be pretty clean from memory.

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I have to get the Notch on the road. I'm paying $60 per week to store it and probably could have paid for the respray/minor bodywork it needs by now. It has an issue where water sat underneath the rear window rubber and it's rusted along the window channel. I'm not sure what the body guys would do with it. Weld in a new section, bog it or suggest I find another body...
Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had an early body ready to be sprayed but hadn't gone any further.
Rest of the car is fine...
Thanks again, guys!

Hi Steve,

I suggest you look at the Bay Kombi front lower windscreen rust repair section, I am sure if you look around some of the local websites (I think I have seen them advertised on http://www.thebusstop.com.au/store/2/5/  ) you will find one, maybe even use a piece from a complete front panel, the profile and curve may be very similar to the rear for the Notch. Pretty hard to find a good body these days and your is too good to scrap.

Give me a call if you find this at all confusing!

Cheers,

David
