I think it's just another way of turning a bug into a short wheel base, nothing too serious.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

As long as he's OK, that's the main thing. Besides, it's only a stinking beetle. Who'd have one of those things......errr......hang

I Assume it was the full cage that prevented it being any more squashed up like a tin can?
I would like to be that well off with no crushed cabin after smashing at 150kph, none the less, i can simpathise for this guys whip lash...
I woke up with a crook neck this morning and rekon thats bad enough as it is!

Yeah I was gonna say, it's got remarkably good crumple zones, the A pillars look fine, and no roof creasing (even if your legs are in the crumple
zones of beetle - as a side note I remember the owner's manual of my old '72 saying it had the latest in crumple zone technology).
You've probably all seen this video, but is probably a more realistic high speed beetle crash. Warning, you may wince or cry seeing this clip!!

I like this test between a 2009 and 1959 chev. It is to dispell the myth that if an old car crashed into a new car it would come off better as it was
built stronger and would crush the new car.
