Kombi gearbox bolt patterns
Hi guys, I'm selling a rotary engine adapter conversion kit (that Rose has been advertising for me) that I believe is to suit a kombi gearbox but
have been asked what model?(1600,1800 or 2000). Is there any difference and how can you tell? Also is there a difference with the flywheels as this
comes with a custom flywheel that has the rotary centre and cast eccentric shaft balancer grafted to a VW unit outer and then all matchined and
balanced. It has been used going of the wear on the puck friction plate so I know it works and but am unsure of the fittment. any help appreciated.
See attached photos. cheers
Any inquires call me on 0411 470 690

obviously 4 stud.
centre of bolt to centre of bolt approx 196mm (+- 2mm)... NOT DIAGONAL, BUT BOLT ABOVE, BOLT ACROSS. (for 1600 3 rib kombi box)
But that clutch pressure plate look like an early style... someone correct me if wrong...
but talking pre-1600 engine....

I never used it. Guy gave it to me in lue of money owed and took since I thought a manx/12A turbo project would be fun.

They are all the same, kombi beetle and type three..... the ONLY difference is 2.0liter kombi has a deeper bell housing and longer starter to match,
but mounting and ring gear diameter are all the same.

I've got measurments between bolt hole centres starting from one bolt going around in a clockwise pattern of 210, 215, 200, 215mm. The flywheel has
an outside diameter of approx. 275mm. Might be some more discussion on this I think.

Flywheel would be more like 275, it's the clutch diameter that is 180 (unlikely), 200 (most likely), or 210, 215 or 228mm.

I'd say for any vw trans. That pressure plate looks like a 200mm 9 spring, they use 9 coil springs instead of the more modern diaphram.
