Stoopid numberplates
OK - i will start off with the fact i have the poops
But besides that i cant beieve what people pay and get in numberplates
Saw one today that said "THANXS"
FOR WHAT???
Cause some one bought you a car??
I guess it is better than the one i saw years ago down Nowra way
A petite young mum had a new car that said "TA DAD"
Should have said " I AM A SPOILT TWAT"
Whatever - think i will go down to the local child care centre and slap some one
Rant over

That has a point
I can accept that
A "buisness lady" a friend of mine knew had "FIGJAM" - again, advertising
It is the "MARK" or "STEVE" that i just dont get
Have these people forgotten their names??
And as stated the spoilt brat plates just get me

Must admit i'm not into personalised number plates at all. Some are ok, but generally most of them are very gaelic. Quite why anyone would want
everyone to know their name and what they drive is beyond me. Exactly who cares!?
With that said, at least it's better here in Aus than in the UK as the cost seems quite reasonable. Some examples of UK ones include:
M444TFF (meant to say MATT F)
J10DIE (meant to say JODY)
Even worse in the UK are people using the screw that holds the plate on to make part of a letter (an example is someone painting the number plate
screw black and putting it in the middle of the letter C to make it look like an E)
All of the above are very

HAV32C (have to see and it is on my mates car)
SXYRXY (sexy rexy on a WRX around the corner from where a live)
the list goes on for so long. Sydney is full of that stuff lol

Many of those people have an odd number plate because they cannot remember things like ABC 45J etc... lol IMHO..
its just a custom thing....
I know many people have their initials etc...
and its a personal thing... that I haven;t gotten into...
it doesn't make any difference to Me...
Like in Scone We See DUBAI 1 DUBAI 2 DUBAI 3 etc..
from Emirates park - {United Arab Emirates]
also 189, 85 , 2 & 3 numbers which are worth heaps for the plates.
Me; I take what they give Me.... lol

Sorry, but I have had my KC-**** number plates for 21 years that my parents bought for my 21st. But I too also think that some of them are wankers.
eg IM2SEXC. And I can tell you, she wasn't
I did see about 15-20 years ago on a big 4 wheel drive that I was behind - TIVOOM. I thought, WTF does that mean? When I got past him and looked
back in my rear view mirror, I worked it out. Say it backwards.
That my 2c worth, Kev

My number plates on the bugy are BUG33Y, they were on it when I bought it and I like em, I new a fella in Newie who had those FIGJAM number plates
about 10 years back, he was a sales person for a well known home builder, had them on a Fairmont last time I saw him, I thought they were kinda good
but can imagine them upsetting some of the puritans and maybe, just maybe, loosing him a sale, yeah some are kinda good others just "why?"
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

I agree, there are acceptable personalised plates and then there are the stupid wanker number plates. Such as sxyrxy, totally agree with you colonel

The only wanker plate I thought was funny was a girl I knew. Who ended up having to change them cause the car was used for work.

Was funny if you were ahead of her and looked in the mirror.

Another bloke I knew long ago had GT327 plates on an MGtc, back about late 60's early 70's had heaps of offers for em but wouldn't sell, got me why
as they meant nothing on an MG.

Hi Camo
My plates are on Davids car until I need them, better than paying a storage fee the the Road Trauma Association.
I got mine for my 21st as well, that was a long time ago, in Beetle years I'm an Oval with heart shapes.
Personal plates are real ripoff in NSW, the fees are horrendous so I feel sorry for the suckers paying the fees.
