Port Work
Hi Guys
Does anyone know what work needs to be done to the ports on TP heads, as in, short turn, bowel etc.
Rather get an idea of what is usually done before I attack them and stuff one lol. Its disappointing to spend a day on a head and have it good then
do a little more and the flow bench tells you that last little bit stuffed it.

Have a look At Daimo's post about his 1775cc engine build up.
The other good resource is the "How to Hotrod VW Engines" book.
The chamber and valve seat is a very important part of the picture,
since the air flows past the seat and into, or out of, the chamber.
BOWL....bowel is something else.
