75 bay shift rod bushings and boots?
G'day.
Could someone steer me in the right direction with is one?
Because I have been tackling much larger issues a lot of the smaller ones were overlooked including my cauldron stirrer.
Apparently there are bushings that go on the ends of the shift rod tube. Is this correct?
What do they look like?
I also take it that there are meant to be rubber boots covering things like the ends of the shift rod tube and possibly the bit of the tranny nosecone
where it's rod enters?
My bay is missing all sorts of bits and over the years I keep discovering things that it should have.
So please people, point me in the right direction!
to add to the fun, it used to be an auto and is still using the same shift rod, not that it probably makes any difference.

i just replaced mine on the weekend and fixed my crap gear change, its a bush which sit right at the front near the gearstick, round rubber style and
i changed the rear coupling rubbers too.Mick motors had them

So is there anything meant to go on the back end to support the rod in the tube, or is it allowed to flop so it can handle the movement from the
transmission moving around.
I've attached a pic of what I'm talking about. Ignore my half finished heater tube addition.
And it's not rust, it's red mud!
The bit where the shift rod exits the tube. Middle-ish top.

bushes are nylon and are on front and rear of the shift rod front is easy to replace ,you can't get at the rear without removing gearbox as the shift
rod won't slide out,did mine while the box was out
