Hi from a new member in Sweden


Hi i love all typ of vw...i own 29 differrent vw(typ1,2,3,4 T25/T3 bus and dokas, passat/dasher golf,jetta) ...from split bug 1951 to 1975....i`l try to post some pictures of my car some day...snowy greetings from Sweden...

Thank you very much Andy....ill do my best with the pictures some day when i have learnd how to do it...i love your climate down there in Australia...we haved our first snow for this year today.....15cm already....=)

Sweden was RHD then changed to LHD in the 60s...

Hi Jan,
are any of your cars Right Hand Drive..??
I remember when Sweden changed over from RHD to LHD in 1967 ??? Iceland also changed over to LHD cars...
I presume there are still some old cars over there in RHD...??

Hi Jan,
are any of your cars Right Hand Drive..??
I remember when Sweden changed over from RHD to LHD in 1967 ??? Iceland also changed over to LHD cars...

Yes there are some but they are hard to find here to these days...the britts have vacumcleaned Sweden of these cars....hehehehehe...=)

And yes they changed left to right in 1967 to be correct...

And no of my cars are right hand drive.....but my brother has a 1998 vw golf convertible that is right hand drive....

My family are from Sweden too.. Many years ago.. My son has returned but not me just yet.. Do you own a Tristar?.. That is the VW type I most want to own one day..

Yes i own a tristar byt only the 2wd version...and she needs som tlc round the rear wheel arches....
I have also 1 Vw carat bus 1986 and 1 Vw 16" syncro bus....

You mentioned you have type 3 also. Which model do you have?
I have one, but they are quite rare in Australia.

My 1974 passat/dasher


The blue TS version is almost in mint condition, and the red one is the S version..S versions are very rare in Sweden.

OMG what a collection. Looks like they're stored well. Keep them out of the cold. I had a '74 Passat 1300 2 door in about '84 and it was a great car, 'till I put it on it's roof !! Dont think we got the S over here. It's the air cooled I love still going strong. One of those type 4's would be NICE. If you want to get rid of one :spin: :-)

Thank you very meuch that you liked my collection i have stored.....i my not get all of them ready for the road but some of it....
And matberry i will let you now if i want sell some of the typ4...how much will the shipping be from Gothenburg Sweden to Australia...=)..?
Should i post some moore pictures here or somewhere else...?
I will start to getting one of my aircooled cars ready soon and will start with my 1963 ragtop....

I do love the 411's, very nice cars. Are there many still arounf over there?
I have one here, but htey were never sold here from new, so are very rare in Australia.

Yes here`s some cars still to buy...i now about 4 412 for sale..3 is 2 doors what you call them in english?....not the variant....and one is variant version..
And i have my eyes on one 2door (not the variant version)with sunroof and one owner with only 96000km on the odometer...very nice....

Thanks....but not all of them is in nice condition...

I have collected for over 15years....
Searching round the internet for cars with good prices and swap meets.......
do i have to say that i am singel.....:crazy:
But always searching for som nice and good looking ladys...:blush:
