F%&$ me dead!
I verified and verified with the RTA that if my bug was previously rego'd as a convertable then i wouldnt need an engineers cert. Got a copy of the
last rego from them stating that she was previously rego'd as a convertable but the mechanic still wont even LOOK at her for her blue slip without
one!!!!
I'm SO pissed off!!! everything is ready to go!!!!
WAAAAAAHHHHH!

well a major structural part of the car was removed. its a big deal. has extra strengthening been added to the floor pan etc to compensate for
this?
either find a dodgy mechanic or get the engineers cert.
if its been previously regoed it may have a cert??

call rta and see if they might perhaps provide a statement comfirming it was previously regoed as a convertiable. Ask the mechanic if thats enough for
him.
otherwise call elsewhere!

funny thing about cars people change stuff.
the report refers to what has been modified.
you may be able to call the engineer for a copy as you have the number on the old rego papers.
If the car is the same as on the old report it maybe ok
