I am told there was a splitty police van in Western Australia but no one can provide any photos in confirmation.

Splittie Police Van would have to be better then the Hyundai iLoad's I've seen getting around Sydney!
I remember reading somewhere recently about a superbug Police car in the 70's may have been in the VWMA mag
If it's not in a Vee Dub I'm not going!

I have seen some photos of a split window kombi which was taken mid 60's and the van if I remember correctly was used by either the Police Rescue
Squad or the mounted section. The photo was certainly taken in front of the stables at Redfern Police Depot.
I can guarantee that none of them were ever used in general service. The Ford F100's were all the go from about 1961 onwards.

The Ford F100's were all the go from about 1961 onwards.
Now they were the ducks nutz when patrolling the burbs.
Iloads and VW transporters on the road now as caged trucks.
