HERES A TRICKY ONE FOR U ALL

we have just modified my k&l beam like typethreeking has on his tube chasis drag bug and we cant adjust the height at all..with about 3 degrees neg camber...everything fits back normal, steering box etc...

the beam has 2 adjusters that are mounted in higher position then my narrowed beam to counter the end of the beam that is raised for the camber angle..

i put the beam in with the adjusters at the lowest setting then adjusted the adjusters to the heighest setting then put the car back on the ground, then woola,,, nothing, no height increase at all...

when the car was raised and i adjusted the adjusters u could clearly see the railing arms lifting...

WE ARE DUMBFOUNDED ?????????

Take a pic showing detail of the adjuster location and angle. Although the adjusters will bind somewhat, they still should change the ride height if you change the angle of the securing point of the bars.

Dont think so, they are normally broken when 'screwed' in my experience.

Show us the angle !
The narrowed beam will have a different angle required due to the shorter bars, maybe you just cant raise the adjustment enough and it just sits on the stops/shocks between low and all the way up.

at the moment theres no towers or shocks, its just in for a trial fit to c if i have any dramas with mounting the steering box etc.....i have to make up new towers....

i did notice when i spring the top trailing arms up it springs back down but the bottom ones seem to not do that,,, i think the bottom leave is rubbing slightly on the inner tube where its cut and welded on the new angle...

yew, all good , double checked everything... and it looks like the adjusters just have to be moved up a bit... at its highest the lip of gaurd was at 27 inches " 2cm gap above top of tyre" lowest the tyre was way up in there.....

thanks mat
