Clutch Pedal
My clutch pedal isnt returning to its original height, its staying about half way down but not engaged with the clutch. Its right before it engages.
Sometimes it coms all the way out other times it doesnt, it feels like its stuck on something, does anone know where i should begin to look,
Its a 71 standard.
Cheers

Hi,
I have been using 95 or 98 unleaded for 4 years....
I just filled up a few weeks ago after I had tuned My beetle
and new plugs, leads, points, cap and rotor etc...
and the engine goes Much better, car is much quicker, and is using much much less fuel..????
I still have the 009 tuned at 32 degrees... maximum advance.
Only thing is, engine will NOT start unless the accelerator pedal is pushed down first...
never had to before...
maybe thats why the fuel consumption was so high..???
but then all [automatic choke] VW owners manuals used to say...
press accelerator to the floor once before starting the engine.
[this would bring the auto choke into action]
cheers
LEE
PS: I know many people use PULP fuel in VWs...

no amount of tune up makes sense in an aircooled vw if valves are not right
