Wanted VW convertable Chassis Bracing

You know when everyone was chopping the top of there beetles and converting them into a convertable....well they had to brace the VW chassis by bolting or welding a steel reinforcing chassis to the VW chassis. Does any one have one or a design for one?

Wolfsburg West (USA) have them - they are called reinforcement rails.

Cheers, Greg

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Thanks Greg,

I'm thinking more of a fabricated steel chassis. I'm looking to strengthen my beach buggy.

Also, it a street buggy so I'm not looking to lift it. Ideally if I can bolt something up or with minimal welding.
