Mirrors

Hi

Has anyone else fitted a left hand side mirror to their Volkswagen?

I imagine you need a different bolt inside the door hinge?

Can they be bought new? If so where would I look? I have looked around the forum sponsors websites, couldn't find anything,

This is the type I have, and would like to get a left hand one,

thanks for any help you guys can offer

To find one the same shape for the LHS would be easier to find in the USA... as they would be the drivers door mirror..

these would be classed as [NLA]

keep looking around..
You may pick up one but not in new condition..lol

best of luck

PS: check out the samba website in the USA>>> Lee

the mirror for the LHS of a RHD car has to have a different arm
as the angle wont allow you to see the mirror if you use same arm as on drivers side thats is for a pre 67 car

sure places sell them but there totally F ing usless like an ash tray on a motor bike

thats why VW put inserts in the doors to accept a screw in mirror futher back on the door away from tha hinge pin
