New VW Club In TOWNSVILLE qld ?

Hey everyone,hope all is well.
I was talking to a bloke in townsville today and he said apparently there is a VW Club starting up in Townsville,QLD to be based in townsville and they already have 80 members.

I had a quick look on the net and couldn't find anything regarding this claim.I was wondering if anyone in the region has heard anything about that.
Any info would be interesting.
Thanks

I haven't heard anything at all about it. I tried starting a club in Cairns 2yrs ago and was struggling to find 5 members! The 80 members sounds like total BS to me. I'd love to get that many members cause than a cruise would actually look cool.

Well I went up for the first meeting, It is not a club as such nor is it likely to be. Just an opportunity for vee dubber to meet up, have a cruise and a BBQ.
