Rigid Gearbox Mounting !
All,
Will a gear box that is rigid/solid mounted in the VW Chassis eg no urethane or rubber mounts pass a Inspection for registration ? Would they even
look at this area on the car ?
I ask because there are some after market brackets on the market that are like this that interest me !

There will be higher authorities than me that can comment for sure but as far as I am aware soilid mounts are not legal.

Mine's solid mounted and no one said a word. The bash plate helps hide it all though.

I think it depends on how you describe it. The front mount on my split is solid, but that's the only way you can fit a later box. I spoke to an
engineer about it, (I have to get a mod plate for engine size increase and discs all round) he said that it would be ok as a conversion adaptor, but
the rears are urethane.
