aussie spec trim???

Hi I have a 1960 mango green original paint beetle which started its life in Brisbane
and is very close to rust-free which is a rarity over here in the UK. I am trying to find out as much as I can about the deluxe trim that I understand was fitted as an option to some aussie beetles?? ..The link above shows it..I was hoping someone could shed some light on its origin and possibly help me to find some as it would be great if I could source some original trim!! Please email vw1970deluxe@yahoo.com Thanks

they were fitted by the VW dealers here in Australia...
they are very rare to find these days...

Wolfsburg Automotive in Victoria have New flash kits...
Very expensive... but the correct shape etc..
formed ends etc..
no cut off chrome/stainless steel strips...
