Who does decent CV boots?

I`m wondering who does decent "off-roadZ" type CV boots

i keep splitting mine, i have the bigger Porsche/BMW cvs now & even they`re splitting boots

i remember (way back when i used to race off road) they was an old guy, with a walking stick who was making his own with some blow mould type thingy gizzo,,, they were sort of loose & floppy type boots & just zip-tied or hose clapmed them on

anyone know where or who he is???? or anyone know where i can get some decent boots??? Please? i`m sick to death of all this CV shit , i`m done with it :-( Do i have to make my own from D-9 dozer tubes ? :-) :-) :-)

i HAVE FOUND THE COLORED cv JOINT BOOTS THE BEST QUALITY...

Not rubber...

more like an excellent poly type of material...

I have yellow ones.. whether they are all the same [colours]
I don't know...

bought them off ebay..

I knew Lee wouldn't settle for plain old black CV boots!

Hey lee,,, so have you got a dealers/sellers name???, i just had a quick look through e-bay but couldn`t find them
cheers
Matt

Vwjon,,, i`m not tearing them from hitting things, i think the axles are over angle-ing with the engine mounts stretching, lifting the engine & box up too much & shredding the CV joints & bolts etc & in the process are ripping the boots

I`m sorting the engine & box mounts out so there will be very little engine/box movement (Major job) :-( & i`ve already got the sooper-dooper You-Beauty Big motha CV joints, flanges & axles now,,, so i`m just wanting some tough but "Forgiving" CV Boots to finish it all off nice

soon to have new ball joints, tie rod ends & a full set of decent off-road shocks all round, & some serious big arse brakes too, but all that has to wait till another big chunk of money lands in my lap :-)

cheers all & Merry Christmas

Sorry Lee but the coloured boots are not acceptable for the greater angles that the jacked kombi cv's see. I've used the best over the years , Super boot, Porsche, Sway-a-way and I have found the best lasting are custom made Kangaroo leather, over the outside of the actual cv and tapered to the axle. Get a boot maker or trimmer to sew them up for you, seal the seams with polyurethane sealant, and soak them in oil so they don't suck the cv grease out of the joint. Once you've done it this way you wont go back to rubber.

Also regards to the ball joints, be careful who you get to fit them, some joints these days have the knurling incorrect which actually make them a tight fit into the arm that shrinks the joint overall making it too tight affecting the steering ie. doesn't self center.

Thanks Matty, i`ll bell you when it`s time to sort the ball joints ,,,ok it`s actually well past that time,,, so i`ll change that too--> " i`ll bell you when i can afford to fix the already stuffed ball joints" :-)

I`d like to add a little more height in the front while i`m at it too, but i don`t want to go "too" silly,,, just a tad more height will do, but i`m scared cause i think i already know that it`s going to cost even more "Chuncks" of money :-) ah well,,, it`s only money hey? :-)

I`ll probly just sort some decent CV-boots,,, then attack the exessive engine/box mount movement,,, then the front end & shocks all round

"""THEN""" the turbo, new computer & wiring loom :-)

hey it`s got to be able to handle my right foot for long periods of time without breaking, so whatever it takes without cutting off my right foot :-)
