hand brake

What have I got? A few months ago I bought a pair of hanbrake cables from a place in Queensland, (ebay, can,t remember who they were but they are new from a business, not second hand) had to get the cables shortened as they are for a SWB buggy, got that done without noticing that the outer sleeve that goes from the pan to the drums is shorter than the originals so now they won't fit between the two fix points as they outer sleeves are too short and the cable can't be drawn through the ends as they are too large. What are they off? and any ideas the best way to rectify the problem, I am thinking maybe get a short piece turned to replicate the outer sleeve to make it the same length as the originals.

I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!
