62 KG

Hey all. I'm new to the boards, but I've been an aircooled fan since I was a teenager. My first car was a 72 beetle, and I've owned several beetles and a bus since. My latest aircooled is a 62 KG, which I'll take possession of within a week. Can't wait to take and post some photos, and take advantage of the information provided by these forums. See ya out there.

Forgot to mention that I'm in the US, but as far as I'm concerned, the aircooled VWs are a worldwide phenomenon....

Hey grogy,
If you ever see any parts here in the states, and you think it'd be cheaper to get them here and have them shipped to you (probably would be a wash at that point...) I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can.

tabney

P.S. I do have a few pics that the PO took for me, nothing great, but I'll probably post them later today anyway.

Don't really get the Mercedes reference grogy....sorry....unless you are referring to the light armoured car with the Merc driveline....yes??

Nah, the Scarab name came from my desire to originally own a Beetle...you know, 'Scarab Beetle'...get it  but ended up getting my Notch instead...but a Beetle is not out of the question for the next project :ninja:

Sorry Tabney.....THREAD HIJACK ALERT!!

now, back to Tabney's KG!! Bring on the NO (new owner) photos
