[FS - SA] VW Type 2 T3 Golf 2.0 engine conversion
[FS - SA] VW Type 2 T3 Golf 2.0 engine conversion
I am selling a complete 2.0 Golf MKIII engine conversion for a T3
(not syncro or auto). It is based on all VW parts from the T3 Diesel vans, so it sits on an angle and hence fits straight under the engine lid. I have
utilized all VW parts like bell housing, sump, engine mounts and carriers etc.
The engine is a perfect match to the van since it has very similar specs to the original water boxer units.
The setup is currently in my 1989 van and hence can be fully road tested. Installtion is a breeze and is no more complicated than changing over a
standard 2.1 WBX engine.
This particular engine has done about 97.000kms.
Price: $3500 (way below cost !)
Note: to make this work in a syncro T3 you need to buy an engine adapter and flywheel (syncro) from Sherman at the Gold Coast. He has made one of
those for me before so he has a sample and can make you one without fuss.
Just to avoid any confusion - The engine is a petrol engine -

The title says type 2 eg (all VW kombis) T3 eg the third generation.
So it will fit all watercooled Vans from 1983 to 1992.
Hope this clarifies it for you
