69 Bug ignition switch WTB
Hi all, I am after an ignition switch to suit My daughter's '69 Bug. The ignition sometimes starts and sometimes ...zipp..zilch..nutting. try again
in 5 minutes and it works !!!
Me thinks there is something wrong with the switch.
It has a brand new 550CCA battery and the Gennie charges at about 14 volts.
It is becoming a bit of a hassle having to make sure I/she parks it on a slope so that it can be cluth started if need be.
Cheers
Fixer upperer of daughter's '69 Bug "Oscar"
Cheers
Gazza

it might be the switch at the end of the ignition the contacts can become burnt and dont make contact and they are spring loaded, try spraying some
lube into the ignition and switch .

you need the Plastic Ignition module below the actual key and barrell assy
this should be renewed as its full of spring n contact points that fall to pices very easy
Available from VVDS in Sydney 02-9789-1777 can post up to you
