has anyone managed to join the restowagenuk.com forum? I've registered twice now, first time on January 2nd, but still waiting for mods to approve me. Do they not like aussies?

It maybe because of the severe weather they are having over there more worried about that than letting you register

I say old chap, it's jolly ripping that we colonials are so keen to keep in touch.

Just as well there's Global Warming or England would be REALLY cold.

I have also registered twice....the first time about 6 months ago, and then again about 3 months ago.

I thought that on the first registration I might not have been clear about my love of VW's and that they might have excluded me becasue of this, so on the second registration, I was OVER the TOP enthusiastic about VW's and Restocals in general....but still no reply.

Maybe they dont think that us Aussies rate a mention, or that our opinions don't count for anything.

I still check the site almost daily for updates on the mental oval cab resto that one of the guys is doing....if you haven't seen the thread, do yourself a favour....it is unbelieveably detailed (both the car and the forum thread!)

At least it allows you to look at the photos on their site without logging in!

you have to feel sorry for the poms right now. poor bastards will be drinking their lager tops cold.

ABOUT 60 revellers had to drink beer and play cards for three days after they became stranded in a British pub that was cut off by snowstorms on New Year's Eve.

I just remembered too....I emailed one of the Admins of the site, pleading my case and asking to be accepted....but got no reply!!

Shame RestowagenUK isn't as helpful and fun to be on as Aussieveedubbers!!! The admins etc. of this site are to be commended for their efforts!

with thanks to the admins of Aussieveedubbers,
