Beetle bed
Just thought I'd ask who has ever slept in their beetle? I did it for the first time last night after leaving my car at a mates place and then
hitting the clubs. Got back to mates place around 2am and I thought I would have a crack at sleeping in the car.
To my surprise it was quite comfortable for the most part!! Only trouble I had was I didn't have enough leg room as I am around 6ft tall. I must say
the petrol fumes probably helped knock me out along with the alcohol I had consumed that night lol. So who else has done it??

I have, we had our end of year footy party and all p platers drove out and the rest came with tents, i am tall but duno how tall to lazy to measure
and was preety smashed by the time i wanted to sleep came along.
I tried all different positions cause ive slept in other cars before like a mitsubishi mirage but eventually i ended up along the back seat and it was
okay except every time i moved the seat and rear end would creak and stuff.
But wasnt anywhere near as bad as i expected.

I slept in mine loads of times when i was 18 or so.
I used to run the car without the backrest on the rear seat...much more room!

i have once and it was one of the most uncomfy nights of my life
i think alot of people will remember saturday night valla '06
i woke about 2am to my air mattress drifting around at sea in my tent
just glad i had non vw seats that recline, still didnt make it much more comfy though, dunno how people manage to sleep in the back seat without
waking every 10 mins due to lack of feeling in the legs

As a baby I was packed in to the parcel area behind the rear seat with a pillow and blankets etc so I could sleep as my parents drove wherever it was
they were going. Does that count LOL

Back in the sixties my sister had a '59 beetle with lay-back front seats, got them fully forward then pulled a pin which dropped the backrest then
put in a bean-bag type mattress, very comfortable double bed. It was a conversion available then
