turbo

I have for sale now the original turbo off the GT Forester subaru engine that now lives in my kombi.

It is the TF035 and is at the small end of the scale as turbos go. It is a 98 model and done around 90,000k. It runs as smooth as silk and has minimal play.

I'm asking $100 and if you are interested pm me or call 0450725773 can post or pickup on the gold coast.

cheers

Rob

Do you know if these are suitable for a draw-through carb setup? I've heard that you need a carbon seal instead of a dynamic seal. Does it need any water cooling? I'd love to buy it but can't really afford to do a turbo conversion at the minute I don't think. Just out of interest though how much do you reckon postage to 5158 would be? I'm guessing about $20?

hey i don't know the answer to any of those questions except yes it is water cooled...if you are curious search the forum...there are plenty of guys fitted turbos to aircooled vw but no idea what they used or how they did it:spin:

I have a ballbearing GT2860RS Garret in a draw-through config on my Bug.... No problem with oil here.... And now water cooling either.... Can't say for sure the TF035 will work, but its prolly worth a shot....

FUCH your early!
