Fuel Pump rod

Hi guys

Are there different fuel pump rods for different models. Just bought a new fuel pump and rod from George, when bolting together, it compresses the fuel pump diaphragm completely and leaves a gap of about 3mm between the pump and spacer.

Anyone know what length the rod should be.

Thanks Trevor

i think the alternator fuel pump rod is a different lenght.
if you use the wrong one it will break the arm in the pump.

They are mild steel only, the end on the cam is hardened but the fuel pump end is mild steel.
