Adam and Mick of RAW did a fantastic job installing the narrowed adjustable beam that i purchased from vollks.com.au

A very happy customer

hello guys and gals in VW land, Paul just came around and picked up his little beast :P she has a tough new stance with just enough rake. After modifying the beam for right hand drive and shortening his existing steering arms and spring packs, we decided to drop the nose a little more just to give Rosie a tougher look.... really happy with how she looks and has cleared up the scrubbing issue she had before (exaggerated by the extra 12mm u get with drop spindles, the offset of the empi 8-spoke wheels and the 185 tires.) I needed to reduce the lock on the steering a little just to make sure it would all clear with the new height, but once Paul gets a set of narrower tires on the front, it will toughen up the look even more and then we will be able to increase the steering lock back out. In the mean-time Paul needs to get used to the lower nose and reduced lock... hehehe Cant wait to see her with the pop-outs and new interior. Rosie is a real neat little bug and im proud to have her and Paul a part of the RAW family. Cheers Adam

Thanks Kev, really happy with the way she handles, even with the narrow beam it isnt too stiff and rides so well. Adam did say she would have attitude and she really does. I have decided though that those standard bars have to go (eventually) lol

lol thanks for the compliment the rear is pretty much at its limit without flaring the guards as it has type 3 brakes installed and with the offset of the wheels they are pretty much hanging out of the guard as it is

Well the 1600 twin port seems to be very reliable so i am in two minds to modify it or eventually have a new motor built

Went and saw my good friend Rod Penrose last Sunday and selected all the upholstery for the car.

Hopefully Rosie will go down next month and Rod will do the carpet, seats, roof lining, front bonnet area.

It was great to have someone who knows Vw's and he had a great range of colours etc on hand for me to look at, not too mention all the other goodies he has there.

I was also able to secure a set of bars that i have been looking for as well.

You have a very sweet looking bug and you must be very proud. Well done.

I am taking my bug to Rod Penrose as well for full interior fitout. Can't wait to see your pictures in due course.

Cheers
