Scrutineering

Was reading all the paperwork for the VW supersprint, with the list of steering, suspension, brakes etc... what exactly are they looking for?

Is it more or less a road registration test?

Wanted too look over my bug and see what needs to be made new or looked at...

Cheers

Hi

Its probably not as tough as a rego check, they are looking for NO looseness and play and a firm pedal.

Hi

Thats it.

Its in your own interests to make sure its all OK anyway.

You don't want to get all the way down there and get knocked back and have to try to fix it on the spot or worse get told you cant run.

A scrutineers main job is to check the car for any obvious faults that would be considered unsafe.
ie, damaged or frayed seatbelts, soft brake pedal, poorly adjusted wheel bearings,
If your car is well maintaned you will have no problems.
