2.0 litre engine and gerbox bolt straight in?
We found a kombi 75 for sale, the body is full of rust but straight and it has a 2litre in it.My question is can we rip the gearbox and 2liter engine
out and bolt it straight into our 72 Lowlight removing the current 1600 engine? Can that be done and is it hard?
Thanks
Have a good one.

You will need to shorten the gearshift linkage at the front by about 10mm so you can select all the gears. The 2L box is longer than the 1600

2.0 l engine needs the gearing of the 2.0 l gearbox, assuming tyres are still the same as stock diameter. Also need the bell housing to fit in the
clutch that is bigger than all the rest.

The "2 litre" 091 has similar gearing to the "1600" 002, really only differing only in the final drive ratio.
