VW Dyno Day - Sydney Sat 17 April

VW Dyno Day - Sydney Sat 17 April

From the VW Watercooled forum - ALL VWS WELCOME.

Sydney Dyno Day -- Saturday April 17th @ 0830 onwards

Entrant Price: $60 which Includes Food & Drinks. 2 Runs per vehicle unless otherwise specified on the actual day or if we have time available.

Spectators: $3 Donation (Yes again, why?, because you'll be eating food that others have paid for and you're a specatator! be fair!)

Location: MAINLINE AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT PTY LTD
http://www.mainlineauto.com.au/
Factory 3, 35 Violet St. Revesby (off Old Canterbury Rd)
(02) 9773 8222

Cash Payment is on the day itself, we do need to know a rough idea on numbers to order enough food & drinks for everybody.

Every car is welcome, but please remember this is an VAG dyno day (Volkswagen/Audi cars) and those cars get priority. We encourage every VW, unmodified and modified, to jump on for comparisons. It's not about who's got a quicker or more powerful car, it is about what cost effective mods you have or haven't done or how crazy you have gone with it or giving you a simple base point to your stock settings before you mod etc.

Once again this is an AWD dyno meaning all 4wd, AWD, RWD and FWD vehicles can run. They do have experience running DSG vehicles yes, it is a Mainline Rolling Dyno not a "shoot out" like dyno day if you'd like to call it. So you will get an accurate-ish "at the wheels" reading.

Perfect for tuning up your VW for the VW Nationals Supersprint. You asked for it - here it is.

Last year's average (just watercoolers) was 40-50 cars so this year is likely to be much bigger. Don't be late...

Time slots are not guaranteed. First show first run unless want you/they want to wait till later. If you turn up at 3pm and expect to jump on straight up when 15+ people are awaiting you will have to wait!

Makes the dyno day in Brissy sound like great value for money being $20 cheaper!! Plus spectators are free!! would be good to see some Air cooled VW's show up to give the new generation an idea of grunt without turbos!!

DYNO DAY (Saturday 17th) MOVED TO HORNSBY: (from the VW watercooled forum:)

Dear VW/Audi owners who are attending the dyno on April 17th.

Due to me selling the dyno we normally use for these dyno days, and not having enough time to assemble another one between now an next weekend, I have negotiated with the workshop we have sold the dyno to, to use his premises for the dyno day.
The benefits are that there is much more available space for cars from a parking perspective.

The revised premises for the dyno day are:

TXS Pty Ltd
4 / 43 Leighton Pl
Hornsby NSW 2077

Mainline will still be the operators of the dyno, so testing as before will be maintained to the same standard.

Turbo XS have no VW/Audi affiliation, so think of it as "neutral" ground.

I appologise for any inconvenience to anybody.

As I am not a member of any other Audi/VW forums, can you guys please repost this for me on other forums where the Dyno Day has been mentioned.
Pierre (Fuzion), if you watching, can you contact me asap.

Regards.

Todd Lewis
Mainline Dynolog Dynamometrs.
