Bug for Short Test Drive - Western Melbourne?

Hi,

I realise this is a big ask, but I'm hoping someone is willing to help.

I haven't driven a Bug in 20 years. Before I commence seriously searching for one, I'd like to take a decent one for a short drive to familiarise myself again. I'd also like the missus to have a short drive to ensure she is happy.

Does anyone on here live on the west side of Melbourne (we live in the Werribee, Hoppers Crossing area) have an classic Bug they would be willing to let us drive for a short distance? Preferably a Super?

With or without the owner in the car is fine. We are both 35+ and non-hoons.

Happy to fill the tank, provide payment in form of alcohol, use of my small car trailer or whatever you prefer.

Cheers,

Hi!

We live in Lara and i'd happily let you have a spin :)

Not sure if you'd want to though, as it's a 60's bug and not a super.

Actually, i've yet to see a super around these parts...they're mainly 60's Beetles. I guess it's a Melbourne thang!

Gis a shout if you want to..no problem at all!

Hi,

Thanks for the offers, but I probably won't need them now.

We are going to look at and test drive a tidy 71 Super tomorrow morning. It's for sale, and we may possibly buy it. I'm quite excited by the prospect. :smirk:

Cheers,
Brett
