Steel supplier

Ok I'm ready to start minor rust repairs but I don't know where to get appropriate replacement sheet metal. Can anyone help? I'm in North Brisbane.

Also, what gauge/thickness and is it just standard steel?

Thanks

Not sure what you intend replacing, but most probably you will need 0.9. If you are brazing it, cold-rolled (CRC) is best and good for welding too.

Maybe, if there is one near you, a sheet-metal shop could let you have some off-cuts.

Cheers, Greg

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!
