WTD: Type 3 Floor Pans?

Gday guys,

Got some rust im my 70 Squares floors under both front seats (foot area is nice and clean)

Was wondering if anyone was wrecking a late T3 with good floors they could cut and sell or even fresh floor pans?

Im in Melbourne, Vic

Would love to hear what you've got.

Cheers, Ben

Gerson has just produced them....I think his company name is Klassicfab (the ones with the funky green panels)

He's having them ready for the Classic in the States in June.....$500.US a pair apparently......I guess the exchange rate at the moment makes them fairly attractive, but freight would kill it.

Wolfsburg Automotive in Visctoria are doing them I think. I bought beetle pan halves off them a couple of years ago. steel is a bit thicker than normal replacement halves. Couple of small fit-up issues, and the inside corner of the battery compatrment area was a bit iffy. No seat rails.

Their number is in VWMA magazine which I dont have in front of me right now.

Cheers
Brendan

Is anyone a Klassicfab distributer in Australia?

If there was a few of us wanting pans (I suspect I am going to need them) perhaps we could convince the distributer here that it would be worth their while importing some. They can amortorise the cost of shippign with what ever else they bring in and we can get nice shiny green pans :)

I've got 4 pretty clean pans here 1 is an auto and there all 72+ $200 a pan or can have them rolling for extra with late brakes and some with wagon torsion bars.
clean as in not rusted all the way thru but some surface rust (they are 38yrs old)

Would one fit a 70 Square (manual)?
Do you have the complete floor pan or just the halves?

Would love to know. Atm anything would be better than my pans lol

If you could pm me a photo or two that would be great!
Im very, very keen!
