944T brake upgrade- parts requirements?
I am looking at options for brake conversions and want to make sure I know the full list of all the parts I need. One option is VW Cools, big brake
upgrade, the other is the 944T upgrade.
The car is a 1303, 2 bolt super. It has Vforce struts on it. Rear is standard except will have heavier rear torsion bars.
So far I have been able to source a few parts and want to see what else I need. I am trying to arrange this all from overseas (and a country with now
944’s), so trying to do it all remotely.
Front end – will this combination work?
Front 944T brake callipers – sourced
Front early 944 na spindles – sourced
Front early 944 na hubs – sourced
Front brake disc’s
Ball joint change?
New wheels (phone dials for 15 inch), Boxter for 16 inch.
Rear
944 na rear backing plates
944 na hubs/hand brake assmebly
944 T rear callipers
944T discs
Upgrade to 944 na rear trailing arms ?
Does anybody who has done this conversion know this combination will work? Are there other models that may work, ie 968CS callipers etc? Or 928 parts?
Jsut seeing how large the pool is for parts that can be used together.
Thanks
Drew

Already talked to him. They are very expensive. If thats the only option i would probably go with VW cools upgrade. He said it was hard to get the
944t parts now. I have time, as the car is being upgraded while I am overseas for 4 years. So jsut want to have a list of all the parts that may work,
so once they come up, can jump on them straight away.

I've done this conversion, but on a beam beetle.
Fronts:
17x7.5 ET50 turbo twists
Modified CB dropped spindles (by Lanner Vdubcustoms)
Modified turbo hubs (Lanner again)
944T front twin spot brembo calipers
Rears
17x8.5 ET55 turbo twists
84 944NA hubs unmodified
Kerscher handbrake ends
Kerscher handbrake spacer
2003 boxster S rotor
944T twin spot rear calipers
I still need to narrow the front beam, and get some widened guards and work out the correct spacer for the rear wheels to fill the guards.
Here how it looks at present:-

Highly recommend lanner at vdubcustoms.
Cheers
