40DRLA Dellorto carbs, linkage, type IV manifolds **SOLD**
Hello everyone,
I collected these Dellorto 40DRLA carbs a while back to install on a type IV engine that was going to go into my splitty post resto.....however I sold
the splitty (to Damo (66deluxe)) so no longer need the carbs.
ITEM: 2 x 40DRLA Dellorto carbs, 2 x type IV (1700, 1800, 2L) inlet manifolds, 1 x CB Performance linkage crossbar and connector rods (to carbs)
After purchasing the carbs (was told by seller they had been rebuilt), I pulled them apart and checked that new o-rings, fibre washers, pump diaphragm
etc were in fact new (which they were)....I then purchased and installed a CB Performance update kit (worth US$138 alone) [http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=522] and
installed it. I have a list of jet sizes in the carbs at the moment but left it at work (in case someone needs it I can note them here)
The inlet manifolds had been drilled and tapped for brake booster ports when I purchased them (second hand), I cleaned them up and painted them.
Likewise for the crossbar linkage (cleaned and painted) - comes with the springs in the end of the bar that locates it on the filter bases....also all
the heim joint connectors move freely.
PLEASE NOTE - air filters and filter tops are NOT included - what you see in the pictures is what you get. (you can get the tops from CB Perf (or Rod
Penrose, Classic Veedub etc) [http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=548], likewise for filters). The only other part missing (not sure why they
weren't on whey I bought them) were the throttle shaft levers [http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=546] - again available from CB.
PS I am heading to the US next week if someone does want to buy these parts, I can get them whilst there and post them to you if desired.
I HAVE NOT RUN THESE CARBS SINCE REBUILD - so there is a good chance jet changes may need to be performed to get them running optimally. Since I have
not tried them I cannot comment - they appear fine (I have set float levels etc) but have priced them based on the fact they may not be "bolt on and
go".
Sorry for the mega long for sale ad!
Al
I leave for the US late next week and am keen to sell so if no-one is willing to pay the asking price I'd consider offers (realistic) over the
weekend/early next week....however first to offer the asking price gets the carbs.
