it seems You were a VW enthusist before You bought Your beetle...
You may have better luck on the samba in the USA...??
I was told many years ago, that swastikas were made illegal in Germany after the war...
so, if the copied ones were made in Germany
that is why they didn't have the swastikas... IMHO..

Yes yes as a part of the de-nazification the swastika is outlawed for public display in Germany.
I think it is acceptable there in educational books etc, sellers in markets sellings medals, daggers etc have the swastika covered,
the swastika is also forbidden on ebay now,

I have a repro copy and the swastika is still featured on the inside of the front cover.
The repro is marked on the spine on the inside of the back cover by stating it is " Nachdruck/Reprint 1984 by WK Verlag..
